Alberta: A Chamber Opera

Alberta is a young woman who was raised by wolves in Alberta, Canada, discovered by a scientist from Montana and brought back there to live on the University campus. We find her as a university student in love with a young student rancher, Roy. Wolves have been re-introduced into Montana, and Roy is called upon to lead a hunt to destroy them. The daughter of the Secretary of Interior, Dolores, sets her cap on Roy, and the animal activists set out to make Alberta the champion for the wolves. On the one hand, this is a tragedy as old as time, on the other, it's a modern tale of environmental woes.
